President's Message From Derek "Smitty" Smith

A note from the Prez.

Hello everyone. It is good to be back after a great road trip to the Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. This show gets bigger every year, but boy was it hot.

I ran into a few Mobsters while we were there, Ron and Shirley Morley. David Duthie, Gene Yetter, and Kevin Bixby were there but I never got to see them.

It was a good year for buying parts. I found everything I needed for my 1969 GTX on Thursday and the prices were pretty reasonable. The rest of the weekend we just walked around and enjoyed all of the cars.As usual the car corral was full. There were a few good deals. But most of the cars were top dollar and I didn't see too many sell.

I parked my 1968 Road Runner at the main gate where the garage is. They had it setup as a dealership for all Dodges and Plymouths from 1968 because it was their 40th year celebration.

I don't think I am going to the Mopar Nats in Ohio because of school starting in August this year, so I will see you at the meeting on the 14th.
