In Memory of MWD Boris

MWD Boris C222 was born in March ’99. Upon completion of Narcotics and Patrol school, Boris was assigned to Misawa AB. He arrived at Misawa in July 01 ’ to begin his service as a Drug Detection Military Working Dog. Boris conducted Health, Moral, and Welfare Inspections in various facilities on Misawa, providing commanders with a tool to ensure there were no illegal drugs in their facilities. He conducted countless dog demonstrations for the base populace demonstrating the capabilities of a Patrol Dog. Boris’ most recent accomplishment was assisting OSI with finding almost a pound of marijuana. During his career Boris conducted over 1500 hours of search time while maintaining a 97% proficiency rating during all drug training trials. MWD Boris was last handled by SSgt Richard Nelson.
