In Memory of MWD Kevin

MWD Kevin Y016 was born in February ’94. Upon completion of Explosive and Patrol school, Kevin was assigned to Misawa AB. He arrived at Misawa in April ’96 to begin his service as a Explosive Detection Military Working Dog. In ten years Kevin provided Explosive Detector Dog Support for various VIPs to include Presidents Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Shalikashvili, Secretary of Defense William Cohen, and Secretary of the Air Force, Honorable F. Whitten Peters. Kevin supported both Operations Southern Watch, and Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom 4 times. Kevin conducted over 4000 hours of search time, and maintained a 100% proficiency rating during all explosive training trials. MWD Kevin was last handled by SSgt Jimmy Gullatt.
